Survey of Science is an online course that introduces students to core concepts in biology, chemistry, and physics. Through an asynchronous format, students will explore topics such as DNA, chemical reactions, Newton’s laws, and more. By completing weekly readings, videos, lectures, and assignments, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of these core concepts. The course concludes with a final project that integrates all three subjects, challenging students to demonstrate their understanding and express it in a creative and challenging way. Survey of Science offers a dynamic and flexible approach to introductory science education, building a strong foundation for future academic success. There will be various Zoom sessions throughout the program for the students to attend. The date and time of any Zoom sessions will be decided after the start of the program, based on the availability of the students, generally on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. CST. The instructor will also have some flexibility to work with the students if other days are more convenient for their schedules.
