IMSA Excellence 2000+ Curriculum

The film canister kaleidoscope serves as an introduction to the culminating activity A Kaleidoscope Project. The students will work in small groups to design and construct an original kaleidoscope. The kaleidoscopes that they build demonstrate their understanding of the subtle connections between mathematics, science and art as exemplified by the patterns created by the instrument and how the kaleidoscopes are created.
