GEORGE WINSTON LAUNCHES 2003-04 IMSA GREAT MINDS PROGRAM®

AURORA-- Tickets are now available for the upcoming solo piano concert performed by Grammy Award-winning artist George Winston at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy™ (IMSA). This IMSA Great Minds Program® event is supported, in part, by a grant from the Tellabs Foundation.

On Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. in the IMSA Auditorium, Winston will perform songs from his new CD Night Divides the Day – The Music of the Doors, as well as selections from his seasonally themed recordings, including some R & B, guitar and stride piano. General admission tickets (non-refundable and non-returnable) are payable by check or cash on a first-come first-serve basis.

Concert goers are invited to support the Aurora Area Interfaith Food Pantry by bringing a donation of non-perishable canned foods to the concert. Collection baskets will be available before the concert at the main entrance. In addition, Dancing Cat Productions will donate a limited number of CDs, cassette tapes and posters to the Food Pantry for them to sell during the evening to support their worthy cause. Interfaith Food Pantry staff also will be available to answer questions about donating time and making food or monetary contributions.
