REGISTRATION OPEN FOR IMSA KIDS INSTITUTE® WINTER-SPRING SATURDAY WORKSHOPS

AURORA—The Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) Kids Institute is now accepting student registrations for its 2003 winter-spring Saturday afternoon workshops in mathematics, science and the arts. These enrichment workshops are offered to all students in grades 2-8 and are held at IMSA in Aurora.

IMSA Kids Institute® Saturday afternoon enrichment workshops include:

Amusement Park Physics” (February 22 - 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.) for students in grades 4-5
Kids learn the principles of physics, then apply their knowledge to the design of a computerized roller coaster and small-scale model ride.
Minds on Math” (March 8 - 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.) for students in grades 7-8
An afternoon to challenge your mind and bend your brains in math games with IMSA students and faculty.
KidzArt” (April 5 - 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.) – for students in grades 5-6
A pottery studio and pinhole photography experience taught by IMSA students and faculty.
Science of Color (May 3 - 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.) – for students in grades 2-3
Students explore the physics and chemistry of color during this unique hands-on and minds-on workshop that includes designing a chromatographic T-shirt.
